Engagement Cupcakes

An engagement party is one happy occasion and it´s only made better by the presence of beautiful (and delicious) cupcakes!

Our latest batch of cupcakes have been carefully designed to suit the theme of the engagement and also suit the bride and groom to be! We created unique stamps of the couple´s initials which have been impressed into edible love heart and disc decorations. They have been air brushed with a lovely gold tone adding a touch of elegance.

Handmade ruffled flowers follow suit, with a gold centre to carry on the colour theme and just enough detail to create one classy looking cupcake! We also crafted edible engagement rings that feature isomalt jewels making you double guess whether that is a real rock!

I don’t think I have ever seen a ‘baby shower’ taken quite so literally – or in such a delicious form! MAD ABOUT CAKES newest cake creation features a hand carved Gluten-Free Choc Mint bathtub!

Of course no bathtime would be complete with out a collection of handmade rubber duckies and a toy boat. To make sure baby is squeaky clean, we’ve included countless hand rolled bubbles, a handcrafted scrub brush along with a fuzzy towel for later! MAD ABOUT CAKES was very proud to supply cupcakes to the annual ‘Peter Alexander Winter Conference’ held right in Melbourne! Alexander’s pyjamas are soft, gorgeous and floral – so matching cupcakes were in order!

Delicious gluten free chocolate fudge cupcakes with real vanilla bean frosting adorned guest tables at the event. Triple Celebration Cake

MAD ABOUT CAKES is kicking 2013 off with a bang! A triple bang that is! Our latest creation is a custom designed cake that combines one families wedding anniversary, 30th and 55th birthday all into one extraordinary cake!

The soccer field is a decadent gluten free sugared cherry chocolate fudge cake layered with a rich chocolate frosting (what a mouthful)! Coconut creates the grass texture whilst individually edible hand rolled blades of grass create a striking finish. What scrumptious cake do you think the bottom two tiers are made of? They are actually styrofoam dummy cakes! The middle tier is a minimalist wedding cake with hand piped pearls and a hand cut bride and groom silhouette that represents the couples ongoing love! The bottom tier is a leather travel suitcase that has seen its fair share of countries! Hand crafted, etched and painted to appear worn and torn from use with individually made stickers that add character and charm.
